One of the most exciting and enjoyable areas of the Transition Year Programme at Assumption Secondary School is the chance to set up and run a mini-company.  The mini-company module helps budding entrepreneurs to develop and hone the necessary skills required to run a company and survive in the business world.

The mini-companies are run as genuine, bona fide companies with all company members playing an active role in areas such as production, finance, sales and marketing.  The mini-companies must build their client base and deal directly with them and are responsible for developing their product from a mere concept into a viable, profitable company.

Students grow in confidence through their involvement in the mini-companies and develop their public speaking and communication skills.  The Mini-Company Module complements the Business Studies curriculum and since its inception, has proved to be a genuinely rewarding experience for all our Transition Year students.
