Leaving Certificate 2021

                                                                                                                                         Walkinstown, 2 nd March 2021

Dear Parent/ Guardian, Student,
The procedure for this year gives the student 3 choices towards their Leaving Certificate Examination
Results:
-Option 1: Sit the exams in ALL or some subjects only (including oral/practical coursework)
OR – Option 2: As Above AND avail of Accredited Grades issued by the State Examination
Commission (SEC). The highest results will be awarded to the student.
OR – Option 3: Only avail of Accredited Grades awarded by SEC (hence not sit any exams).
We strongly recommend that students select Option 2, as it gives the student 2 opportunities to
perform at their best.
Students and parents/guardians are invited to discuss the above issue with the Principal, Deputy
Principal or Guidance Counsellor.
Yours sincerely,
Ms. S. Hoey (Principal) / Ms. C. Cummins (Deputy Principal) / Mr. Bogomoletz (Guidance Counsellor)
